About Lucy

After achieving all 9s in my GCSEs I went on to study Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry for my A-Levels. During this time I was also teaching a client and working part time at Mathnasium. Now I am studying a Masters in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Warwick.

About the lesson

I aim to help students develop a deep understanding of the subjects they study, building confidence alongside strong exam technique. I encourage questions and create structured, engaging lessons tailored to each student’s learning style. I have over four years of tutoring experience, with more than 400 hours taught both online and in person. I primarily tutor GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics, supporting students with core content, problem-solving skills and exam preparation. I have helped students improve grades, regain confidence after falling behind, and develop independent learning habits. I previously worked at Mathnasium for a year, where I supported students aged 5–16 in strengthening their mathematical foundations. Alongside this, I have experience preparing students for the 11+, although my main focus is on GCSE and A-level tuition. All lessons are carefully tailored to the individual student, with clear explanations, worked examples and targeted practice to ensure progress and long-term understanding.
