About Drishti
I’m a third-year Materials Engineering student at McMaster University with two years of peer tutoring experience in math and physics. I pair solid technical skills from design projects, concrete mix testing, and metallurgy lab work with a friendly, patient teaching style that puts students at ease. Each lesson is structured and goal-focused, ending with a concise recap so you leave knowing exactly what to practice and some fun when you've earned it. Students value how I turn abstract formulas into everyday examples and share practical study strategies that have helped me succeed in demanding engineering courses. I keep lessons efficient, clear, and active: we start with a quick “concept check” to see what you already know, then work through one or two carefully chosen problems together, pausing whenever something feels fuzzy. After that, you tackle a similar question on your own while I wait by your side in case you need any help. Once concepts start to marinate and make sense, I prepare something fun like a Kahoot to check your knowledge while having fun. Students like my sessions because I connect formulas to everyday examples, from the parabolic arc of a basketball shot to the stress in a phone case, so ideas stick long after the lesson ends.
