About Bekah

I am currently studying an integrated masters in Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University, and have just completed my third year of studies.

I fell in love with Engineering with my passion for sport. I was curious with the design features of sporting implements and how they could be designed to improve performance. It was through this that I came to see Engineering was so much beyond the traditional, heavy industrial work it is so often perceived to be: the choices and influence it has are limitless.

As a tutor, I would encourage you to find your passion and follow it. Improvement comes much easier when it not longer feels like hard work - enjoy what you learn!

About the lesson

Although I was incredibly passionate about the A level subjects I studied, I completely understand how difficult they are, particularly with the demand of required A level grades. With past experience of helping my own colleagues during my A levels, I know everyone has a different learning style and pace. You can therefore be assured that the tutor sessions are revolved only around you.

I have worked privately as a tutor for 4 years, and have experience of students in both Maths and Science, from ages 11 to 18. As an Engineering student, I'm particularly experienced at tutoring Mechanics

I would measure progress by not only recapping and testing work at the end of a tutor session, but at the start of sessions as well, to see how well learning has transitioned. If the pace is not correct, it will be adjusted based on the tutee. Again, if the student has any specific requests as to topics which are and are not studied I completely understand - everyone has their strengths and weaknesses!
