About Lewis

I am passionate about teaching because I believe that academic success isn't just about innate talent—it’s about having the right strategy. I want to help students move past the frustration of working hard but not seeing results.

By using scientifically proven methods like spaced repetition and shared learning, I aim to help my students build the autonomy and confidence they need to master complex subjects like Biology and Chemistry. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student have a lightbulb moment and realising they are capable of reaching their top-choice university or career path.

About the lesson

I’m a current Medical Student who secured all four of my UCAS offers and achieved top grades across the board. Having sat my A-Levels in 2023, I have an up-to-date, relevant understanding of the current specifications and the specific tricks examiners use in the latest papers.

My Expertise & Experience
I have been tutoring for 3 years, helping students from Year 7 through to A-Level achieve significant grade improvements. Whether you are struggling with the basics of GCSE Bonding or the complexities of A-Level Organic Chemistry and Synoptic Biology, I provide the structure needed to succeed.

How I Teach:
My lessons are built on two scientifically proven pillars of learning:

Shared Learning: We work through problems collaboratively, developing your autonomy and confidence rather than just "lecturing" at you.

Spaced Repetition: I integrate retrieval practice into every session to ensure that what we learn today is still in your long-term memory come exam season.

What I Offer:
Biology & Chemistry (KS3, GCSE, A-Level): Focus on keyword precision to satisfy strict mark schemes.

Medical School Prep: Expert coaching for the UCAT and Medical School Interviews (MMI & Panel).

Flexible Scheduling: Typically 1-hour sessions, but I offer 2-hour intensive blocks or multiple lessons per week for exam season.

He always knows what level I am at and works with me depending on that level. He doesn’t go too fast or too slow at all if I don’t understand something. He also teaches me all of the exam techniques I need to know to make sure I can do as good as I possibly can. It’s clear I have made a lot of progress with the help of Lewis.
