I am a medical science student at Western University, first year.
Academic Background:
I graduated high school with a 97 average and I currently have a 4.0 GPA.
Experience:
I've tutored grade 10 mathematics, grade 12 advanced functions, and AP calculus, both during the school year and after.
Both students have had course grade improvements of a minimum of 15 percent.

I believe it is better to learn the reason behind the step rather than memorizing the steps themselves. My primary focus is to improve the student's problem solving ability, as memory won't take them far in post secondary. Learning and understanding why a step occurs rather than simply memorizing the step itself will not only integrate the step into the student's deeper memory, but also the student doesn't have to rely on brute memorization.
