About Gus
I graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Economics and later completed my premedical studies through a post-baccalaureate program at Rutgers University. I am currently a medical student. I have extensive experience tutoring chemistry, organic chemistry, and mathematics from algebra through precalculus, as well as other premedical sciences. I have worked with students at different academic levels and learning styles, and I focus on breaking difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps. My goal is not simply to help students complete assignments, but to develop the understanding and problem-solving skills they need to succeed independently. I offer a flexible schedule and both online and in-person tutoring.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, academic level, and learning style. I focus on making difficult concepts easier to understand by breaking them down step by step and then reinforcing them through practice and problem-solving. Whether a student needs help with chemistry, organic chemistry, algebra, precalculus, or premedical sciences, I adapt each session to the material they are currently studying and the areas where they need the most support. My goal is to build both understanding and confidence so students can approach problems independently. Lessons are available online or in person, with flexible scheduling.

Details
The complimentary 30-minute introductory session is an opportunity to discuss the student’s goals, current coursework, and areas of difficulty, with time to work through a selected concept or problem so the student can experience my teaching approach. Regular tutoring sessions are $70 per hour. Discounted packages are available for students who would like ongoing instruction.
