About Khadeeja
I'm a first-year medical student currently studying at Imperial College London. I recently completed my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, achieving three A*s. I’m excited to share my enthusiasm and insights as a tutor, particularly in Biology and Chemistry, where my interests truly shine. Throughout school, I gained valuable tutoring experience, helping students at my academy who struggled with subjects like Mathematics. One student I worked closely with for a year, achieved a remarkable improvement, raising her grade by two levels and ultimately scoring a 9 on her exam! I focused on her strengths—such as her skill in mental arithmetic—and targeted her challenges, specifically the complex problem-solving questions at the end of exam papers. By breaking down patterns in these questions and building on her strong foundational skills, she not only improved her performance but also discovered a genuine enjoyment for the subject. I believe that even the hardest topics can be learnt and explored and appreciated with the right approach

As someone who has faced my own challenges in Biology and Chemistry, I understand the frustrations that can come with these subjects. Over time, I learnt that success often lies in identifying and using personal strengths to tackle areas of difficulty. This belief is at the heart of my tutoring style, where I work to understand each student’s unique learning preferences and adapt my approach to fit their needs. Now, as I delve into my medical studies, I’m discovering just how interconnected the body’s systems are and how diseases reveal themselves through intricate, subtle processes. This holistic approach has enhanced my appreciation for connecting ideas across subjects to solve complex problems, a skill I aim to bring into my tutoring sessions. I look forward to helping students unlock their potential, especially in Biology and Chemistry, by building their confidence, deepening their understanding, and making learning an enjoyable experience!
