About Liky

I'm Liky, I am currently a student and Medical offer holder. English is my native tongue and I have studied in the UK my entire life. I was raised in London and speak in a British accent. I love being able to help others understand course material and it brings me great satisfaction to support them in achieving their own academic goals. I am excited to share my techniques in learning and methods which can help them understand difficult parts of the course which I had to overcome myself. I will put in time and care into curating a lesson which fits your personal needs and pace. - All As at National 5 and Higher Maths, English, Chemistry, Biology and Physics - I will be entering university to study Medicine at Edinburgh University. I also have offers for Medicine at Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen.

About the lesson

My lessons will be interactive and targeted to help you with what you need most. We will go over concepts that are hard to understand together and I will make sure to go at an appropriate pace for you. Having the most up-to-date experience allows me to plan the most relevant lessons. Being a student, I fully understand the struggles other students may be having with their subjects and I know the best way on how to tackle these issues. Students feel more comfortable being taught by someone of a similar age which allows for open discussions on what they really need help with. I studied for GCSE until 2021 and am very familiar with the course contents, however I took my exams in Scotland so instead of GCSE and A-Level qualifications, I have its equivalent of National 5 and Highers / Advanced Highers. I am a top A student, and received the highest score in my school for all of my National 5s, and in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Higher level. As someone who has personally studied the course contents recently and aced the knowledge required, I know the most effective explanations and methods of study. I have volunteered for a month at a local primary school. My roles included supporting the students during reading time as well as re-teaching maths to support groups. I was responsible for many 1:1 teaching sessions and have experience going over concepts with children who did not understand in the main class. In secondary school, I am in charge of many clubs, including STEM and creative writing, as well as after school study groups. I have lots of experience in planning tasks and activities to support the learning of students I am in charge of. I have also conducted private tutoring lessons for family friends’ children but I am looking to expand the number of students I can teach remotely. During these sessions, I planned interactive lessons that they would enjoy, but most importantly, would remember and understand. I took time and care to figure out the causes of any issues they were having with the course. I am adept in video call technology and can create a comfortable judgement-free environment for students.
