About Ellie
I am currently a student studying Medicine at the University of Oxford after achieving A*'s in my Biology, Chemistry and Maths A-levels. In my GCSE's, I scored in the top 0.05% of the country with nine 9’s and an 8. I feel as though I have a well rounded knowledge of the GCSE syllabus and can therefore offer relevant, engaging lessons to help students exceed their target grades. I have tutored GCSE level Biology, Chemistry and Maths now for over a year and I am more than happy to offer lessons online during the pandemic.

My methodology varies from student to student. I find that emailing me a topic list of key areas for development before our sessions can really help me tailor the content to your personal needs. I use a variety of teaching techniques to ensure our sessions not only improve your knowledge of key content but also equip you with the skills necessary to apply this to exams. A regular session will consist of us first talking through the content of a topic in as much depth as you require and then working through some exam questions together. An alternative approach I could take (ideal for last-minute revision) is spending about a month covering the entirety of the Biology or Chemistry GCSE course in a more concise style. This enables students to make synoptic links and have the content renewed ready for exams.
