About Adrija

I am a medical student at Imperial and hold a President’s Scholarship that I was awarded based on my interview performance. I also ranked in the top 3% of Birmingham interviewees so have experience of both MMI interviews as well as panel interviews. When applying for medicine I found interviews incredibly daunting. Through lots of practice I managed to gain confidence and received offers from UCL, Imperial and Birmingham. I myself benefited from a tutor and found medical students who had just been through the process to be amazing mentors to me and I would like to help others in the same way. I sit on the board of trustees at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and often interview for them. This gives me a unique insight into what makes good candidates as well as into the wider medical profession. I am an experienced tutor with over 100 hours of tutoring experience. I tailor my lessons to the student and have found this effective as all of my medical applicant students have received at least one offer to study medicine. Many have gone on to study at top universities such as Imperial and UCL. As I’ve been through the process of applying for medicine very recently I remember the stress of personal statements and interviews very well and I want to give the advice I wish I had received. In my sessions I help with the personal statement ensuring that it fits the criteria panels are looking for. I will also help with interviews and will go through many questions that could be asked as well as questions specific to the personal statement. I’m happy to give advice on which medical schools to apply to. I can also tutor the BMAT and give any exam tips to help boost your score. I have experience in tutoring chemistry, maths and biology up to GCSE and am very happy to tutor that.
