About Noelle
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and hold an MPhil in Chemistry. My teaching brings together science and art in a holistic and interdisciplinary way. I believe chemistry is not just about reactions and equations, but also about how it protects and preserves human creativity across time. Much of my work focuses on pigment analysis, material degradation, and conservation treatments. I enjoy showing students how chemical principles explain why colors fade, how materials age, and how careful intervention can restore artworks. By connecting theory to practice, I make chemistry both meaningful and inspiring. I often use historical art pieces as case studies to demonstrate how chemistry and cultural heritage intersect. My lessons also include discussions on chemical analysis techniques, from spectroscopy to chromatography, that reveal the hidden layers within art. Equally important are the ethical considerations of restoration, which remind us that science must respect the integrity of cultural treasures. Over the years, I have worked with art history students, conservationists, and learners who are simply curious about the science of heritage. I adapt my teaching to match their interests, whether that means exploring the molecular structure of pigments or understanding the chemistry of varnishes and metals. My aim is to make chemistry a bridge between the lab and the museum, between molecules and masterpieces. With warmth and clarity, I help students see the vital role chemistry plays in protecting art for future generations. Together, we apply science to honor and preserve our shared cultural legacy.

My teaching approach in Chemistry focuses on active visualization and strong conceptual understanding. I believe that learning chemistry is not about memorizing formulas but about seeing how the building blocks of matter connect. My lessons are designed to simplify complex ideas and turn them into easy-to-grasp concepts.
I place special emphasis on atomic structure, chemical bonding, molecular geometry, and periodic table trends. These topics form the backbone of chemistry, and I guide students step by step to master them with confidence. Visual models, diagrams, and real-life examples are central to my methodology, as they bring invisible atoms and molecules to life.
I also encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and connect chemistry to the world around them. Whether it’s understanding how molecules interact in the body or how elements shape the natural environment, I make lessons relevant and engaging.
Over time, I’ve seen that many learners need patience and encouragement to excel in the fundamentals. I provide dedicated support to help them overcome challenges and develop a deeper love for chemistry. Each session is tailored to individual needs, ensuring that every student can progress at their own pace.
My aim is not only to help students prepare for exams and assignments, but also to nurture their confidence as young scientists.
