About Charlie

I am a passionate Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MChem degree. My focus is on helping students understand the chemistry of our atmosphere and the challenges of environmental pollution. I have successfully guided learners through complex topics like smog formation, ozone depletion, acid rain, and greenhouse gas effects.

I work with students from schools and universities, including those studying environmental science and air quality. I also support learners interested in climate policy and its chemical foundations. My teaching combines clear explanations with practical examples, making abstract concepts easier to grasp.

I encourage curiosity and critical thinking, helping students connect chemical processes to real-world environmental issues. Experiments, case studies, and data analysis are key parts of my lessons. I help students see how chemistry directly impacts air quality, climate change, and sustainable practices.

Watching students gain confidence and apply their knowledge is incredibly rewarding. I aim to make learning atmospheric chemistry engaging, meaningful, and inspiring. Understanding the delicate balance of our atmosphere is both challenging and exciting. Together, we explore chemical processes that shape our environment. My ultimate goal is to help students enjoy analyzing atmospheric chemistry while learning how to protect it.

About the lesson

My teaching approach to chemistry is gentle, reflective, and designed to make complex ideas simple. I focus on the mathematical foundations behind concepts in physical chemistry, quantum mechanics, chemical thermodynamics, and statistical mechanics. Each lesson connects theory with real-life examples, helping students see chemistry not just as formulas but as a living, logical system. I guide learners to build strong problem-solving skills while exploring topics like molecular structure, reaction dynamics, and energy transformations.

I encourage curiosity and creativity, supporting students in discovering their own unique approach to learning. Assignments, experiments, and DIY projects are used to reinforce understanding and make abstract ideas tangible. I pay attention to individual strengths, helping students find confidence in difficult topics and excel in exams and projects. Science fiction and imaginative thinking are welcomed, showing how chemistry connects with broader ideas and innovation.

With patience and clarity, I ensure students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring advanced theories. My goal is to help them not just memorize, but truly understand, analyze, and enjoy chemistry. By the end of the course, they gain both skills and inner confidence. Learning chemistry becomes a journey of discovery, logic, and personal growth.
