About Monica
Completing a Master of Science in Data Science from the University of Edinburgh provided me a unique perspective on modern software engineering. Most engineers focus solely on syntax, but I prioritise building robust systems through project-based learning. My 9 years as a software engineer inform every interaction I have with A-level students aiming for Russell Group universities.
I often guide these high achievers through the complexities of C++, JavaScript, and SQL while reinforcing concepts like APIs and backend basics. After working with many pupils over 6 years, I find the most success comes when we move beyond simple theory into concrete problem solving on coding platforms. My approach relies on teaching Java and advanced algorithms in a way that builds technical confidence for the future.
