Ahmed and I know met each other and became very close friends at university. Ahmed has a unique capability in distilling complex concepts to his audience, and I have seen him do this with dozens of his peers throughout university. Personally, I was always frightened by econometric methods and other quantitative classes in a separate discipline I studied for, and it was thanks to Ahmed’s passionate teaching style with me, and others that I observed him teach, that I grew an intuitive understanding and curiosity for these topics. He makes it fun, relatable, and simple. After being fearful of these topics, I not only excelled in the classes I took them in, but grew to choose a wide variety of options in them throughout my degree, and currently, specialize in them in graduate school. I have seen similar trajectories for the people who had the fortunate time with his attention and diligence in relaying these concepts to them, and anyone would be lucky to be tutored by him (even if its just for a recap)!
