Growing up as a first generation Canadian kid meant music was the loudest language in our home. I admit that I struggled with rigid theory until I began applying it to songs I actually liked. My 13 years of experience now include guiding 234 students through everything from power chords to complex blues progressions. Since earning my BM Music Education from U of T, I have focused on making acoustic technique accessible.
I balance formal training with the creative freedom found in songwriting. You will likely find that my teaching approach prioritizes your musical interests over boring drills.
