About Heidi

My name is Heidi and I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Music and Management. I am a classically trained singer who competes in regular competitions, as well as performs in regular concerts, masterclasses and recitals. Furthermore, I have a plethora of experience singing in choirs, both small ensembles, church choirs as a scholar, and large choirs with orchestras. As part of a small ensemble, I have won awards for singing on an advert. I also have an ARSM Diploma in singing, Grade 8 Singing with Distinction and Grade 8 Viola. My lessons will push you to achieve your goals, and also create lasting life habits which will change the way you think. My lessons will be professional, collaborative and tailored to each individual student. The ideas will come from the students, and I will help refine and solidify ideas, in a way which teaches students the importance of independent, critical thinking. Previously, I studied at the University of Bristol for a Bachelor's degree in Music. There, I studied all ranges of music and apply both theory and practical to give a thorough understanding of music performance and music context. Outside of music performance, I regularly play sports and focus on my well-being. I believe in incorporating all aspects of life into everything. I am also passionate about events, and regularly organise all sorts of music events. My personality is bubbly, creative and professional. I am an extremely hard worker, with the desire to overcome any challenge. If you choose me as your tutor, I will guarantee that you will improve as a musician overall, both performance-wise, as well as understanding music as a whole. I will make your lessons fun, enjoyable, but worthwhile and tailored uniquely to you! I look forward to working with you!

About the lesson

My lessons are informative, fun and full of collaboration. I would encourage experimentation as well as creativity to create a rounded performer. As someone currently in performance classes with professionals, I would use relevant techniques to make my students excel. I am able to help students understand music academic writings, work on essays, help with harmonic analysis as well as classical music in general. I am able to tutor GCSE, A-Level and Undergraduate modules. My lessons would roughly be an hour long. Minimum would be 30 minutes, and a maximum would depend on the content of the lesson. By tailoring the lesson to each individual student, it will be different for each person. I am highly experienced as a music tutor, as I have been tutoring students globally for 2 years already. I also run an ensemble and a choir so I am used to working with musicians. My lessons are for anyone over the age of 15 who wants to pursue a passion for music.
