About Cat
I have taught guitar and ukulele in formal and informal settings, from a classroom to summer camp, for more than 10 years. I have also worked with children for over 5 years and am passionate about making my clients – whether children or adults – comfortable and able to learn! Outside of teaching, I own two dogs named Coco and Jessie whom I love very much, and I enjoy baking brownies on the weekends.

I use an intuitive, step-by-step technique to ease my students into the instrument while also allowing them to apply their skills to real songs early on. In my lessons, students can expect to practice simple and complex chords with correct form, learn a variety of strumming patterns, and work on their fingerpicking skills to learn a variety of songs. Song selection is completely student-driven for maximum satisfaction.
