About Kenneth
Hi, I’m Kenneth.
I’ve spent most of my life obsessed with how music works—not just how it sounds, but the "source code" underneath it. Music has always been about that "lightbulb moment" when a complex melody suddenly makes sense, or when you realize you can actually play that song you’ve been listening to on repeat.
I’m not your typical "sit-up-straight-and-play-the-scales" teacher. I’m a creative at heart who loves everything from digital production to the classic feel of the piano keys. I’m breaking into teaching because I want to share that sense of discovery with others. I believe that music theory shouldn’t be a dry, dusty textbook—it should be a toolkit that helps you express yourself.
A Little About My Vibe:
I value clarity: There’s no gatekeeping here. If a concept is confusing, I’ll find a different way to explain it until it clicks. I love breaking down the "hard stuff" into simple, visual ideas that stick.
I’m tech-forward: Since I come from a music media background, I love bringing modern tools into the mix. Whether we’re looking at how a song is arranged or using digital aids to visualize a chord, I like to keep things relevant to the world we actually live in.
I’m a Lafayette local: I love our local creative community and nothing makes me happier than seeing more people here find their musical voice.
It’s about you: My goal isn't to turn you into a concert pianist (unless that’s what you want!). It’s to help you feel confident at the keys and enjoy the process of making something from scratch.

To help you "sell" your piano lessons, you need a description that balances professional expertise with a clear, approachable style. Drawing on your background in Music Media and your focus on Modern Literacy, here is a draft for your profile description:
My Teaching Approach: Modern Literacy for the 21st Century
I believe that learning piano shouldn't feel like a chore or an ancient relic of the past. My method focuses on Music Media Literacy—teaching you not just how to play notes on a page, but how to understand the "source code" of music.
I take complex music theory concepts and break them down into straightforward, digestible lessons. I use visual aids and modern digital tools to ensure you aren't just memorizing finger patterns, but actually learning how to create, arrange, and understand the music you love.
