About Ben
I'm a musician, audio professional, and producer based in the Denver area. I got my start as a performer, went on to study electronic composition and production at the graduate level, and have spent the years since working in audio and making my own music. I release experimental ambient music under the name CORBIT and teach privately because I genuinely enjoy helping people find their footing in music production.
I think Ableton is one of the most exciting creative tools out there, and I love seeing what people do with it once things start to click. Whether you're just getting started or you've been at it for a while, I'm happy to meet you where you are.

A typical lesson:
We usually start with whatever's on your plate: a track you're working on, a technique you want to learn, something that isn't clicking. From there we might dig into Ableton workflow, arrangement, synthesis, sampling, sound design, or mixing. We might pull apart a song you love and figure out what makes it work, do some ear training, or talk through music theory. We might also spend time building out your own sample and preset library, which is one of those things that quietly makes everything else easier. It depends on where you are and what you need.
Who this is for:
Beginners who just installed Ableton, intermediate producers who've hit a wall, or musicians from other backgrounds who want to bring their existing ear and theory into electronic music. I work well with people who are genuinely curious and want to understand why things work, not just follow steps.
What sets me apart
I'm not trying to teach you how to sound like someone else. I want to help you figure out your own sound. That means sometimes we're deep in Ableton, and sometimes we're talking about harmony, listening closely to a reference track, or building the personal toolkit that makes your workflow feel like yours. I'm patient, I adapt to how you learn, and I'd love to hear what you're trying to make.
