Contemporary electronic music production and composition is a multi-disciplinary art form. It's my practice to impart an understanding of rhythm and harmony, beat construction from the ground up, the basics of good audio production, the inner workings of analogue synthesis, and a well-informed perception of current musical trends and styles.
I first want to know where the students understanding of the subject is at. I then will speak about what they know and elaborate. Then I will begin breaking down the importance of the process of recording to then how I arrange the tracks. As that's just truly the basics.
My teaching methods are hands on! I want you to learn as I show the capabilities and the power of sound engineering.
Who is this workshop for? For anyone curious about sound, all music, music in general, who wants to manufacture, build, examine... (from 12 years old and older). Should one know the music theory? Not necessarily. But familiarity with music of various styles can be a great help.
I teach with an energetic style. I always encourage my students and give them the opportunity to experience new styles and methods in recording and music technology.
Jazz is a BSc graduate and experienced songwriter, producer & mixing engineer who will be providing practical based lessons entirely tailored to meet the pupil's needs and wants. You will have the opportunity to create records from scratch, develop your work, learn to record, produce, mix/master, DJ, perform, tap into essential music industry info and much more.
My primary focus in teaching will always be the student, and this means understanding the student's needs and goals. My goal is to enable the student to create exciting music, although I am more than happy to teach any technical aspects, such as mixing and mastering, as they are also very important.
Music technology is a very nuanced area, students often have a wide range of goals and skill levels in different areas. I try to find a balance between the most useful techniques and the most engaging practices for that particular student, to keep you engaged and enthusiastic.
In my lessons you will understand how music translates emotions and ideas. Using the instrument or/and music production tools, we will be strongly focusing on the relationship between you, your instrument and the theory behind it.
Get the hands on, no holds barred insight into music production and engineering. I have a real mad scientist approach to Audio I wish to share. We can begin with basic DAW and setup through to advanced recording and mixing techniques. I have developed many of my own techniques and approaches throughout the years and am happy to share the tips and tricks of the trade.
I want to help you find your sound, mix your tracks, and find creative ways of shaping timbres, arranging tracks and producing quality electronic music to a releasable standard. I want to inspire you to create innovative, and unique music and teach you to critique and to eventually have the knowledge to teach yourself.
I want to help you get practical experience producing and composing music straight away. I believe in teaching with a very engaging hands on approach, allowing students to lead the way based on where they are in their development. From my experience as a student and a teacher, being hands on from the start is the best way to bring your passion for music to life.
Together with the student we compile goals that we will discuss in the course. This can be the basics of a DAW, the mixing / mastering proces, but also synthesis in plugins. We are going to approach the musicproduction in a practical way, supported by the theory. It is important that the student feels comfortable in the DAW of their choice.
The way I teach is to work with student's ongoing projects, offering immediate feedback and offering useful mixing, composition and arranging advice. Alternatively, the lesson can revolve around creating new projects from scratch, or going through the fundamentals step-by-step. Given my diverse education, I aim to offer flexibility in my approach to tuition.
Hi my name is Jamie.I run FranceJam Music,Specialising in Guitar/Drums/Vocal coaching/Bass Guitar/Ukulele and music production check website for full details. (concealed information) 15 years experience in the music industry.my lessons are fun, engaging and rewarding.
I base my classes on a fun but rigorous approach to music technology. The reality of production is you can waste a lot of time mucking about in DAWs (digital audio workstations), regardless of your musical ability. A sterile approch needs to be taken to each aspect of mixing and mastering. Only after should the musical ability be applied to a strong knowledge and understanding of these aspects.
Let's start working together! We can: 1. learn how to enjoy music; 2. seriously prepare for any particular musical goal ;or 3. prepare an ABRSM or Trinity College exam. Watch my video (concealed information) - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach: Piano (at all levels, from beginners to Masters Degree), Composition, Music Theory, and Music Production.
My teaching method is completely centred around the students requirements of what they want to achieve and also knowing the best areas I am able to push them in so they are able to maximise their learning and push their work quality as far as possible. I have 7 years worth of college level lecturing/teaching experience and I am fully versed in most current successful teaching methods.
I've been teaching for over 17 years, and my knowledge, experience and enthusiasm combine to make me a much sought-after tutor. I regularly teach at the University of Newcastle, Goldsmiths and the University of Limerick on the BA and MA courses.
I approach each topic in a similar way to the University syllabus as I was taught, first establishing a better understanding of basic audio principles and techniques which inform all areas of audio production, before moving on to more advanced techniques which are perhaps more specific to the students' chosen field.
I am a graduate of the Music Production and Recording Technology program of Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia. When approaching a topic within music production and recording technology that can quickly become very technical and complex, I tend to listen to the students needs/level and cater information to learn in a growth based process.
The way of teaching music technology differs from each students depending where their interests fall into. My teaching methods begin with the understanding the science behind music, then once that is understood we start digging into the more exciting stuff like, using the recording equipment, as well as how to work the different softwares that is required for this subject.
I have had a passion for playing and recording music from a young age. I eagerly will impart my technical and creative knowledge to you in engineering, mixing and mastering. I will help you break thru the sometimes daunting barrier of learning software and technicalities to pull creativity and technical aspects together into tight arrangements and interesting music productions.
I teach by interacting with students and I will try to know what each student is good at and is most interested in. I will try to cater to the specific need of each student, be it theoretical or practical.
I teach you what you want! If you do not have any idea about music production I will explain the basics to you. I will tailor the process individually to your wealth of experience. Fun is one of the most important learning factors for me to really remember something. It does not make sense to learn something that does not interest you or where you can not do anything with it.
I am a relaxed, conversational teacher and enjoy teaching others no matter their previous level of understanding. Music and audio isn't always easy, but if it isn't fun then there's no point! My style of teaching is to encourage an understanding of the subject from the ground up.
I can begin by teaching you the basics of music production (i.e. what is a compressor, eq and limiter?) to how to work with the software Ableton Live or other DAWs (Digital Audio Workstation) to how to write complete harmonic music from your heart. It's up to you where the lessons go, you tell me what you don't understand and I will teach you.
Private Electronic Music Producer & DJing Professional Music Producer & DJs are available for private lessons of: - Audio / MIDI production software (Full Ableton Live 9 Music making), - Study and analysis of successful songs, - Analogical & digital Mixing , - Finalizing and mastering audio tracks.
I am a freelance musician, composer, teacher and workshop facilitator who enjoys sharing my passion for music with others. I teach a variety of styles including jazz, funk, world, rock, pop, folk, classical and can adapt to a pupil's needs or tastes. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Alto Saxophone - I teach mostly in a jazz/funk/pop/soul style but am just as comfortable teaching classical sax.
My teaching is based on prior knowledge & attainment. Once we establish a level of ability & learner goals, we can develop a course structured around budget, timeframe & resources. Lessons will start with some context / theory and questioning to tease out prior knowledge & understanding, and then develop on to practical application & exercises.
