About Lewis
I am a Student at the University of Glasgow, currently studying Music and Electronics. I excel at teaching younger pupils, as I used to teach National 5 mathematics. With the top Jazz Grade on Piano, as well as Grade 8 on the Alto Saxophone, I have over 10 years experience playing Piano. I am well versed in the practice of Music Theory and Performing, having been awarded the Old Girl's Prize for Piano, and an Open Class Commendation (Grade 7 and Above). I also own a Roland FP-30 keyboard with weighted keys if you do not have access to your own set of keys.

I encourage Kinaesthetic learning, and believe in the importance of balance between both Theory and Practice. I split my lessons into three components. The first will be learning pieces that coincide with your current level of experience, or any pieces you would personally like to learn. The second component is Understanding, which consists of Theory, Composition and Chords, all of which are of vital importance when learning music in general. The final component is Exercises, such as scales and sight reading. I am very patient and understanding as a tutor and know from experience that learning a new instrument can be tricky. I also own a Roland FP-30 keyboard with weighted keys if you do not have access to your own set of keys, that i can bring to the lessons.
