About Crispian
Hi there, fellow music theory enthusiasts, my name is Crispian. I am a violinist and tutor and have been playing the violin for more than 25 years. I studied to become an orchestral musician at the University of Cape Town in South Africa and am currently working towards an LRSM via ABRSM in violin pedagogy (instrumental teaching) and violin performance. I hold a distinction in violin for grade 8 via Trinity College and a merit in music theory for grade 6 via Trinity College. I believe that learning music should be fun and enjoyable at the same time. I am super excited to be your tutor and help you along your journey to become the best musician through my training.

Using the prescribed book for each grade we work through the concepts and exercises provided in the graded book for each level in Trinity College Music Theory Syllabus/ABRSM.
Followed by preparation for the exam with past examination papers until full marks is achieved for a past paper.
The format of the examination is mostly the same as the example exam paper in the prescribed book.
You will learn to develop a set of skills that you will use if music be your future career path.
Music theory classes are 45 minutes.
