About Kay
An Accomplished Flutist & Pianist Committed to Your Musical Growth
I won a scholarship to study flute and piano at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under Colin Lilley of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. After leaving music college, I built a global career as a professional flutist, teaching flute, piano, and recorder across the UK, Italy, and the Dominican Republic.

Orchestral Leadership: Appointed principal flute in the Filarmónica del Cibao.
Academic Excellence:
Visiting flute professor at Casa de la Cultura in La Vega.
Track Record of Success:
My students have won national competitions, earned music scholarships to elite private schools, and gained acceptance into top music colleges, including Juilliard School in New York, Chetham’s, Cambridge, and Oxford. Others have performed in the National Children's Youth Orchestras in the UK.
My Teaching Philosophy:

Kay is the most brilliant flute player teacher and performer I have ever met. She excels in all things musical and I can 100% recommend her lessons to anyone.
Kay has been my flute teacher for the last 3 years. She accompanied me for my GCSE Music Performance exam and has corked with me to achieve my Grade 8 in two years. I achieved a Distinction as a result of her keeping me focused and encouraging me to set realistic achievable goals each week. We have had to do the majority of the lessons online via zoom or face-time, it has worked really well.
