About Samantha
My teaching approach for Piano focuses on Communication, Empathy, Flexibility, Cultural Sensitivity, and Integrity. I am an experienced Piano tutor with over 10 years of teaching college students. I specialise in helping students strengthen their skills in Performance, Theory, and Composition. My goal is to make learning piano both enjoyable and meaningful, focusing on building a strong musical foundation that students can carry throughout their studies and careers. I work closely with each student to understand their goals and tailor lessons to meet their individual needs.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and highly interactive. I emphasise hands-on learning through practical exercises, creative projects, and real-life musical examples. I also integrate innovative methods such as ear training, improvisation, and composition exercises to make lessons more engaging and to develop well-rounded musicianship. I focus on building confidence and creativity while ensuring students grasp essential technical skills.
Beyond piano technique, I guide students in developing performance skills, stage presence, and musical interpretation. I provide clear feedback and structured practice plans to help students progress steadily. My lessons aim to inspire passion, deepen understanding, and foster a lifelong love for music.
