About Daniel

I started making music in my basement! I wanted to record my own songs. I quickly fell in love with the process and started working in studios and taking on internships. I would get up and practice 5 hours a day and then go and work on more music. After a few years I hit the road to Nashville where I'm currently working at Nashville sound studios under Pat Holt. I get to wake up and make music every day and it's a dream come true. I have current real world working experience with making music. So many courses that are offered by schools are outdated because the instructors haven't been working in this rapidly changing industry for years. The things I teach you will be up to date and in alignment with your genre. I get so passionate about making it easier for other people to record music. I had to search far and wide for the skills I have and if I can make someone else’s journey easier I want to do that.

About the lesson

The truth is, if you want to make a professional sounding song all you need is a laptop, microphone, interface, and some headphones. Sure there's a ton of cool gear that can help make it better but the most important gear is your skillset. I've made music from just a laptop all the way to a commercial studio in Nashville so I'll be happy to jump in wherever you are on your journey. I like to base lessons around your projects! So if you're making a song we can use our lessons to finish your song. I use what I call the "bad at list" for myself and students. I like to focus on the thing that needs the most work that is most vital to your workflow. That could be mixing, mic placement, or anything else. We can use these in the projects you're already working on. So basically you're getting professional studio time but you're learning the information instead of watching someone else do it. Not only that but it's the information that is most vital to your workflow. There's so much fluff you have to sort through online and I can save you MONTHS of searching.
