About Ma

Hello everyone, I am a native-born Shanghai resident. I graduated from the best higher education institution in Shanghai with a bachelor's degree and am currently pursuing a full-time MBA in the UK. I am fluent in both Chinese and English, particularly in standard Mandarin. During my time in school, I served as a broadcaster for the campus radio station. I have an outgoing and humorous personality, enjoying chatting and making friends. My teaching style is humorous, simple and easy to understand, and I will make courses suitable for students according to different levels of students

My undergraduate studies focused on educational psychology, specifically in the guidance and education of adolescent psychology. My master's degree is in management. I have taught many foreign friends with patient and skilful in teaching how to memorize Chinese words, and my conversations are lively and not rigid, receiving praise from many friends.

If you want to take my classes, I can teach not only Mandarin but also Shanghai dialect. In addition to textbook knowledge, I can also teach you a lot about traditional Chinese culture, such as the Tao Te Ching, the Book of Changes (I Ching), and more. These are books I often read. About the lesson

My teaching style is characterized by simplicity, clarity, and practicality. I believe that effective learning begins with a deep understanding of each student's unique background, goals, and preferences. Before starting lessons, I take the time to communicate thoroughly with my students to assess their current level, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and understand their specific learning objectives.

Once I have a clear sense of their needs, I carefully design lessons to align with their goals, whether they are focused on language skills, cultural understanding, or both. I adapt my approach to suit each student's pace, ensuring that the learning experience is both comfortable and effective. My lessons are not only easy to follow but also highly practical, providing students with tools and knowledge they can immediately apply to real-world situations, whether it's conversational language skills, cultural insights, or professional communication in Chinese.

I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. My ultimate goal is to help students achieve tangible progress while enjoying the learning process. I am dedicated to meeting each student's needs and helping them reach their full potential.
