About Bertrand Collins

My name is Bertrand Ngong. I’m a native French speaker and a Stanford University graduate, with training in modern language pedagogy. For more than 15 years, I have taught French to learners of all levels and backgrounds, helping them develop practical, confident communication—from everyday conversation to professional French. My approach is focused and personalized: I help you speak French with greater fluency, accuracy, and natural expression, based on your goals and the situations you actually face.

About the lesson

My classes are above all speaking-centered: you learn French by using it, not by memorizing rules. Lessons are lively, interactive, and playful, designed to make you talk with ease and progress naturally.

A fun, conversation-first approach
From the first minutes, you speak. We work with real-life situations, guided conversations, role plays, games, and short challenges. The goal is simple: build real communication skills—fluency, confidence, pronunciation, and natural vocabulary.

Grammar—intuitive and practical
We don’t “study grammar” in the traditional way. Instead, you acquire it intuitively, through patterns you repeat and understand in context. When a rule is needed, I explain it quickly and clearly—but only to support your speaking, never to slow you down.

Highly interactive, never boring
You are active all the time: you respond, react, ask questions, tell stories, negotiate meaning, and practice authentic French. I correct you in a supportive way and help you sound more natural—without interrupting your flow.

Skills over theory—progress you can feel
Each lesson is built to develop concrete skills:

- speaking fluently and confidently

- understanding and responding faster

- improving pronunciation and rhythm

- expanding vocabulary that you actually use
