About Kathrin

I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Udine, with German and English. My native language is German, having been born and raised in Alto Adige. I also graduated from the linguistic high school there. I have experience in teaching at school as a German teacher. I have frequently given private lessons in German, both in person and online for more than 8 years. I have specialized in preparing language certifications, also being an examiner for the Ösd.

About the lesson

One reason why you should learn with me is that I am specialized in glottodidactics (language teaching) so I know different approaches and learning methods that we can use in our lessons to make them effective. My lessons are aimed at adults who want to learn German or take a language certification. During our first free meeting we will discuss your needs and goals, i.e. whether you want to improve all four skills of a language (reading, writing, listening, speaking) or focus on just a few of them. I generally recommend focusing the meetings on speaking and writing correction, as these are more difficult to do alone. We can use Skype, Zoom or Google Meet to meet. You will have the opportunity to practice intensively with me, doing both online and offline assignments, which we will then correct together. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I am sure that our targeted teaching will motivate you!
NOTE: The lessons after the first one last 45 minutes (instead of 60 minutes), as I have multiple online lessons and need a short break between each one. Thank you for your understanding :)
ONE MORE THING: Within a package (consisting of 5 lessons), I offer the possibility to reschedule a lesson once for free (even with short notice, just a few hours before the lesson starts). If it happens more than once within the same package that a lesson is rescheduled on short notice, I reserve the right to consider the lesson as held and therefore paid.
Without a package, I cannot offer this option, and a lesson not canceled at least 24 hours in advance will be considered as held and therefore paid.

The first meeting, which lasts 30 minutes, is free, during which we will get to know each other and discuss the structure and your preferences for future lessons. I am new to this platform, so the price is currently low. Take advantage of this opportunity, as I will occasionally increase it by a few euros over time :)
