About Haoxue

I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where I learned that self-discipline, consistency, and dedication are the foundations of success. During my time there, I was fortunate to learn from outstanding professors whose engaging and student-centered teaching styles inspired me. I strive to bring those same qualities into my own lessons by creating a supportive, interactive, and encouraging learning environment.

In addition to teaching Chinese, I enjoy sharing the study strategies and learning techniques that helped me succeed academically. My goal is not only to help you improve your language skills but also to help you become a more confident and effective learner.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to your individual goals, interests, and learning pace. Whether you're learning Chinese for travel, work, business, HSK preparation, or simply personal interest, I will design lessons that are practical, engaging, and enjoyable.

I'm an open book and always welcome questions. There are no "bad" questions if they help you learn. My ultimate goal is to help you reach your learning objectives with confidence while making every lesson productive and enjoyable.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centered and highly interactive. I tailor each lesson to the student's learning goals, proficiency level, and interests. I focus on building confidence through real-life conversations while helping students develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills at an appropriate pace.

I use a combination of guided practice, role-playing, visual materials, pronunciation correction, and regular review to reinforce learning. I encourage students to speak as much as possible during class and provide constructive feedback in a supportive environment.

For beginners, I emphasize pronunciation (Pinyin), basic sentence structures, and everyday vocabulary. For intermediate and advanced learners, I incorporate authentic materials such as news articles, videos, and business scenarios to improve fluency and cultural understanding.
