About Jiange

Hi, I’m Jiange, a native Mandarin speaker currently completing a postgraduate degree in Sydney. I grew up speaking Mandarin and understand the challenges learners may face with pronunciation, tones, vocabulary and everyday conversation.

I am patient, organized and easy to communicate with. I enjoy helping people learn in a relaxed and supportive environment, without making them feel embarrassed about mistakes. My goal is to help students become more confident using Mandarin in real situations, rather than simply memorizing words from a textbook.

I have experience communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds through university, marketing and customer-facing roles in Australia and China. Although I am new to formal tutoring, I prepare carefully, listen to each student’s goals and adapt lessons to their pace and interests.

Whether you are learning Mandarin for travel, study, work or personal interest, I would be happy to support you step by step.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on practical Mandarin that students can use in everyday situations. I use simple explanations, pronunciation practice, useful vocabulary, listening exercises and guided conversation to help students build confidence step by step. Lessons can also be adapted to the student’s interests, goals and current level.

A typical lesson is 60 minutes and may include vocabulary review, pronunciation correction, listening practice and conversation around a practical topic.

I am a native Mandarin speaker currently completing a postgraduate degree in Sydney. Although I am new to formal tutoring, I am patient, organised and comfortable explaining ideas clearly to people from different backgrounds.

My lessons are suitable for adult learners, university students and beginners who want to improve their speaking, listening, pronunciation and everyday vocabulary.
