About Jodie
Born and raised in China and now living in New Zealand, currently completing my Master’s at Victoria University. I love diverse cultures and enjoy sharing all kinds of fun aspects of China with those who want to learn more. I’m always up for chatting about animals, nature, current events, art, culture, travel, and more.
I aim to create a fun, supportive learning environment, so no need to feel nervous, I’m very laid-back and friendly. Just let me know your current Mandarin level and any topics you’d like to chat about before our class.

I offer online Chinese lessons for intermediate to advanced learners, focusing on practical speaking and listening skills. My teaching style is relaxed but goal-oriented, and I tailor each lesson to what my students want to achieve.
All communication will be in Mandarin to help build confidence and strengthen your speaking skills. Depending on your goals, we can also cover everyday conversations, business situations, or more colloquial expressions.
