Je m'appelle Philippe et je suis récemment arrivé à Melbourne ! En mai dernier, j'ai déménagé du Canada pour rejoindre mon partenaire dans cette magnifique région de l'Australie. Originaire du Québec, province canadienne où le français est la langue officielle, j'ai accumulé 15 ans d'expérience dans des universités francophones ou bilingues en tant qu'étudiant, enseignant, assistant d'enseignement, chercheur et soutien administratif. J'ai également été tuteur de français pour de jeunes adultes au Québec. Passionné par la langue française et la culture francophone, je suis à l'écoute et prêt à adapter mes leçons et mon emploi du temps à vos besoins et intérêts. Au plaisir de vous enseigner !

My name is Philippe and I recently arrived in Melbourne! Last May, I moved from Canada to join my partner in this beautiful part of Australia. Originally from Quebec, a Canadian province where French is the official language, I have accumulated 15 years of experience in francophone or bilingual universities as a student, teacher, teaching assistant, researcher, and administrative support. I have also been a French tutor for young adults in Quebec. Passionate about the French language and francophone culture, I am attentive and ready to adapt my lessons and schedule to your needs and interests. I look forward to teaching you!

About the lesson

My philosophy is to adapt to your needs, whether you prefer a conversational or textbook approach to learning French. Whether you want to master a few phrases for your trip to France or read Les Misérables in its original language, I'm here to help. I favor 1-hour sessions but am flexible to accommodate your schedule and learning pace.

Since 2009, I have worked continuously in the tertiary education sector as a researcher, subject director, teaching assistant, and administrative support in French-speaking and bilingual (FR & EN) universities. I also have experience tutoring French to young adults in Québec, Canada. I tailor my lessons for all ages and adapt the difficulty level to meet your needs.

I am conveniently located in Melbourne CBD and am flexible with lesson locations. I offer online sessions, at-home lessons, at your home, or in a café, depending on the distance.
