About Geneva
Adults often assume that piano fluency requires childhood initiation, yet some of my most capable learners are those returning to the instrument as adults. I teach because the process of correcting old habits is more satisfying than building new ones from scratch.
My diploma from the New England Conservatory underpins my technical approach. I have taught 228 students while maintaining my focus on the adult-restart demographic. My formal piano study helps me guide intermediate players toward better habits. I look forward to discussing your musical journey during our first meeting.

I confess that the first 10 minutes of a lesson usually involve checking your current bench height and posture. Correct alignment prevents fatigue during longer practice sessions. We then verify your grasp of rhythm and timing using current repertoire. My NEC training ensures that your grade exam prep is accurate.
We use scales and arpeggios to warm up the fingers. Accompaniment skills are also a focus for those interested in playing with others. My 7 years of experience informs how I present ear training exercises. You will leave the piano feeling more confident in your technical precision.
