About Laura

Hello, My name is Laura and I am a full-time math and science tutor. I've been tutoring for over 8 years. I started in college, while getting my engineering degree and realized I loved it! I love getting to know people and watching my students build confidence, while their fears of math fall away.

About the lesson

I am practiced at explaining concepts in numerous ways and utilizing YOUR learning styles because learning isn't one-size-fits-all. I start my lesson seeking to understand YOU and why you are struggling. This allows me to tailor the lesson so we're focusing on the real issues, accomplishing your goals, and making sure you fully understand the material. I tutor middle school through college in all math through Calculus 1 and in most sciences. My specialties are Physics and Math. Quotes from past students and parents - "I enjoyed math for the first time today because of you." "You're SOO patient" "I passed my class!" *notes on pricing: $65 is the base price for middle school, rates increase for high school and college level students. Travel fee depends on location and ranges from $0-$20 depending on location and if you come to us or we come to you.
