I believe every student deserves a tutor who is knowledgeable, patient, and fully invested in their success. With over 20 years of experience teaching mathematics at both the secondary and university levels and an M.S. in Mathematics, I bring deep subject expertise and a strong commitment to professionalism and clarity.

I’ve taught everything from middle school math to advanced undergraduate courses, helping students improve grades, prepare for exams, and build lasting confidence in problem-solving. My focus is always on understanding over memorization.

Each lesson is tailored to your goals, pace, and learning style. I come prepared, communicate clearly, and create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes become part of the learning process.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Before we begin, I take time to understand your background, goals, strengths, and areas of difficulty, and I tailor each lesson accordingly.

A typical session starts with a brief review to reinforce prior material, followed by a careful introduction of new concepts with an emphasis on intuition before formal techniques. Rather than focusing on memorizing procedures, I aim to help you understand *why* the ideas work. We then build up through increasingly challenging problems until you can approach new questions with confidence and independence.

Mistakes are an essential part of the process. I encourage students to explain their thinking, ask questions, and engage actively so we can quickly identify and resolve misconceptions.

My goal goes beyond helping you with a single assignment or exam. I aim to develop your ability to think mathematically and solve unfamiliar problems on your own. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, AP coursework, or advanced university math, I adapt each lesson to your needs and pace.

With over 17 years of teaching experience and an M.S. in Mathematics, I strive to make mathematics clear, structured, and genuinely understandable—not just a set of formulas, but a logical subject anyone can learn with the right guidance.
