About Annmarie
Originally from England, I have been living in New Zealand for 20 years. I have worked in a variety of settings so I have a good understanding of how English can be used at work. I'm writing a novel set during the second world war. I taught NCEA English for 5 years and understand the requirements of the assessment. I'm also good at quickly finding ways to help you improve your essay writing skills.

Okay, so we do a few activities so I can work out your strengths and weaknesses with English and then I design specific skills for you to learn and practice in each session. The lessons are geared to help you in areas where you need to improve so you can develop quickly and it helps you towards your NCEA. It works better if you have a subject that you are passionate about, E.g. Skateboarding, surfing or animals and then the lessons are designed around a subject that you are interested in. This makes the learning way more fun.
Lessons are usually one hour and can be weekly or twice weekly.
I am a high school teacher with 7 years experience mostly working with Years 9 through to 12. I look forward to meeting you. :)
