About Finn

Hi my name is Finn! I am a pre-med student at Boston College, pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience. I currently tutor at Boston College, where I work with students across a range of STEM and language courses. My academic background and tutoring experience allow me to break down complex material into clear, manageable steps while tailoring my approach to each student’s learning style.

About the lesson

As a rising junior in college, I offer tutoring in math, chemistry, biology, neuroscience, and French for middle school through college-level courses.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and highly adaptable. I take time to understand each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style so I can create an efficient and supportive learning environment. Depending on the student’s needs, sessions may focus on guided practice problems, breaking down challenging concepts step-by-step, reviewing homework or class materials, or developing effective test-taking strategies using past exams and practice questions.

My goal is to help students not only improve their performance in the course, but also build long-term study skills and confidence in the subject.

Finn tutored me in Chemistry during my freshman year at Boston College. I went from a C+ to an A by the end of the 1st semester. My professor actually recommended Finn to me. I finished my year with an A. I started doing more tutoring with Finn to prepare for my sophomore year. His approach is so straightforward, and he has a great way of explaining the material and offering tips for note-taking. Very thorough and so helpful.
