Hi! I’m Omar, a native Arabic speaker from Syria and a medical student at the University of Plymouth. I understand the challenges of learning a new language, and I’m here to make that journey easier, enjoyable, and effective for you. My background in medicine has taught me how to explain complex ideas clearly, and my experience tutoring younger medical students has helped me build strong communication skills. Whether you're starting from the basics or looking to improve your fluency, I offer structured lessons that suit your goals. I teach both formal (Fusha) and informal Arabic, and I adapt each session to your level, pace, and interests. My aim is to help you speak, understand, read and write Arabic with confidence. About the lesson

As a native Arabic speaker and medical student at the University of Plymouth, I bring a fresh and engaging approach to teaching Arabic. My tutoring is designed around the individual needs of each student, whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for GCSE/A-level exams, or simply looking to improve your fluency in Modern Standard Arabic or the Levantine dialect. My Approach My teaching method is structured yet adaptable. Lessons follow a three-step format: Explanation & Summary: We begin with a clear breakdown of grammar or vocabulary themes using concise summary sheets. Practice Together: We do guided exercises to apply what we've covered, including speaking, reading, and listening activities. Independent Challenge: I assign practice tasks of increasing difficulty to build confidence. We review and correct these in the next session together. I use a range of visual, audio, and interactive materials—such as video clips, songs, and real-life conversation examples—to make learning enjoyable and culturally relevant. My goal is not just for you to memorise Arabic but to understand and use it naturally.
