About Michael
I studied Jazz Piano at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama and have enjoyed a career as both a performer and a teacher. I have delivered professional music services across a range of scenarios, ranging from weddings/corporate events to larger concerts/creative performances with other well-established musicians. I am an active member of several ensembles and have played at many of the leading Jazz clubs in and around London, such as Ronnie Scott's and Pizza Express, Dean Street to name a couple. Whilst I am mainly known as a jazz musician, I am also an organist and have experience of liturgical worship and sacred music, regularly performing at religious services, Evensongs and carol services.
I am an avid composer and regularly write for enjoyment. I also have a keen interest in vintage keyboard instruments, owning two Fender Rhodes pianos from the late 70s. Not only is this a major hobby of mine, but this instrument has also shared the stage with me on multiple occasions and is a key instrument in my original-music project, Echidna.
