About Nilisa Marie

I am Marie Gold, a Filipino soprano and cellist based in Dubai with over 10 years of classical training and performance experience. I have sung with the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Premier Music College of Prague Youth Orchestra, and I currently perform with the UAE Philharmonic Orchestra as a cellist. I am also a member of the Philippine Society for Music Education and Emirati Musicians Association and have performed at prestigious events, including playing as a cellist for the Disney announcement in Abu Dhabi. Music has always been at the center of my life, and I am passionate about sharing it with others. As both a performer and teacher, I bring technical expertise and real-world performance insight into my lessons. Whether on stage singing opera or playing in an orchestra, I aim to inspire my students to develop their skills, confidence, and artistry. My teaching philosophy is guided by the belief that every student is unique. I strive to create a supportive and motivating environment where students of all ages and backgrounds can grow—whether their goal is to pursue exams, prepare for the stage, or simply enjoy music as a lifelong passion.

About the lesson

Teaching Method & Techniques I combine traditional classical training with modern teaching approaches to suit each student’s needs. My vocal lessons focus on breathing, support, placement, resonance, diction, and interpretation, while my instrumental lessons emphasize technique, posture, tone, and musical expression. I also incorporate ear training, music theory, and performance coaching to give students a complete musical foundation. With experience singing opera with orchestras in Dubai and playing cello in professional ensembles, I bring real-world performance insight into lessons.
