About Valerie
I teach guitar with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Guitar Performance. My lessons are customised for each student, from beginners to advanced players, including those pursuing authentic blues mastery. I specialise in slide guitar techniques, open tunings, and fingerpicking styles. Students explore Delta, Chicago, and Piedmont blues, learning both technique and tradition. My supportive teaching style emphasises confidence, creativity, and expressive performance. Lessons combine technical skill, improvisation, and musical interpretation. I focus on developing feel, timing, and phrasing that captures the essence of the blues. Digital tools help students record, analyse, and refine their playing.
