About Lachlan

I have 14+ years of teaching and professional experience as a Trumpet tutor. Working with school and college students has given me the opportunity to help learners build musical skills while developing confidence and discipline.

My teaching covers breathing techniques, posture correction, embouchure development, articulation, tone production, rhythm, scales, sight-reading, ear training, music theory, and performance preparation. I explain every concept in simple language so students can learn with confidence and enjoy the process.

One of the biggest achievements in my career has been helping students succeed in concerts, music examinations, and personal musical goals. Their progress motivates me to continue improving my teaching methods.

I believe every student deserves patience, encouragement, and personalised guidance. My classroom promotes curiosity, regular practice, and continuous improvement through positive support.

Teaching is my passion because it allows me to make a meaningful difference in students' lives. I look forward to helping every learner develop strong trumpet skills and a lasting appreciation for music.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a positive learning experience where students can improve their trumpet skills with confidence. I believe that patience, encouragement, and creativity are essential for successful music learning.

Motivation helps students develop confidence and enjoy their musical journey. I support students through challenges and celebrate every achievement.

Communication allows students to understand lessons clearly. I use simple English, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions to make learning easier.

Integrity is a core part of my teaching. I provide honest feedback, respect every learner, and encourage discipline and commitment.

Creativity allows students to express themselves through music. Lessons include breathing exercises, rhythm activities, articulation drills, improvisation, tone practice, and performance training.

Besides trumpet, I also teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm studies, ensemble skills, beginner improvisation, and music appreciation. My goal is to help students become passionate and confident musicians.
