Coach Jon in a nutshell…..He’s fantastic!! Friendly, personable, professional and very communicative!! He led and instructed my teenage daughter to articulate her goals and define her priorities so she can set out to achieve the goal of landing a full ride college gymnastics scholarship she’s been working most of her life for.
My daughter is a level 10 competitive gymnast and has been setting her sites on a college gymnastic scholarship for years. So, when she started getting calls from prospective colleges, we were over the moon excited for her! This was what she has works so hard for!!! It wasn’t until I eavesdropped during one of handful of Zoom call interviews she had with some university coaches, that my stomach sank, and I KNEW my daughter would miss her big break if she didn’t get some sparkle and focus in her pitch. I realized in that moment that if she was going to land a scholarship, she would have to be able to rock an interview situation. After all, who would want to bring on someone lackluster, showing absolutely no excitement and someone who couldn’t articulate why she wanted the scholarship or why SHE should be the one to be chosen out of hundreds from across the country. I knew that if she was going to land a scholarship, she had some work to do, and guess what! SURPRISE! She’s a teenager who knows EVERYTHING! (Sarcasm) LOL
She needed to realize that if there were a handful of gymnasts with the same skills, certainly the university coaches would choose the one they connected with the most and who brought on the energy. That’s when I decided my daughter needed some outside help. Jon was a local option and was available in person if needed. I didn’t know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised.
Jon replied promptly and assessed our situation. His prices were reasonable and he followed through with the lesson plans he presented to me.
I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but he laid out a finely tuned syllabus with his step by step, day by day lessons. He had life examples to share, and I felt he was wise beyond his years and understands people and what employers and organizations are looking for in a candidate. I was happy that he was able to come down to my daughters high school level of experiences and make some relevance to her.
As a parent, I was very pleased with his timely updates and progress reports. He was very professional and forward thinking. He never pushed further lessons when we were unable to continue . Thank you John for the time you spent opening my daughter’s eyes. I’m hopeful that she will reach her goals!

I reached out to Jon for advice about an interview I had coming up. He gave me questions to ask myself about the position, some ways to prepare, and questions to ask the panel interviewing me. The interview went phenomenally. I implemented everything Jon and I discussed and felt comfortable throughout the whole process. The panel told me they were very impressed with my questions and with how I interviewed. Thank you for the confidence you gave me Jon. I'm usually a very nervous interviewee. I will use Jon in the future regarding leadership or interviewing questions.

He's well spoken, has had a lot of hard life experiences in a short amount of time, tells it like it is, is bold but kind, and speaks truth with every word that comes out of his mouth. He's not afraid to give you his whole life story after just meeting you... That's exactly how I met him. I've talked to Jon many times since I've met him after that. He never says no when I ask for prayer or when I have a question he doesn't hesitate to help me out. He's a kind hearted soul whom for some reason, God knew I needed in my life at the time of meeting him, even if to just have as an extra friend. He's a good guy who's been put into bad situations and clearly learned from the mistakes he's made in the past, (As we all do). I learn from him all the time not realizing it and I do trust him whole heartedly.

I would recommend Jon to speak at any venue. I’ve seen Jon in action and he is remarkable.

Jon taught my son soccer when he was in an amateur soccer league in the 5th grade. Jon was extremely patient and a good communicator and never lost his cool being outdoors with kids. Most of whom were not particularly athletic. I never heard him yell or say "you're not listening" or in any way indicate he didn't like them or his job.

Jon is very good with people, and he's a great teacher. He has a heart to make sure the listener is engaged and understands.
