About Blake
I began my career as a tutor while in college at Pepperdine University, in Malibu, California, first tutoring local junior high and high school students, and then tutoring my fellow college peers. I enjoyed the process and working with students so much, that I have been tutoring ever since!
I have provided in-home, private tutoring for dozens of students (grades 5-12) over the past decade, and many of them I worked with from their time in elementary school up through high school graduation! During the pandemic, I started my own tutoring company - Toluca Tutors - in the LA-area, and also led a team of tutors to safely work with small batches of students in their “pods.” I especially enjoy helping students with standardized test prep, maths, essay writing, and college prep!

I'm an experienced mathematics tutor offering private lessons from the comfort of your own home! I've taught many students from elementary school to college level and help them excel in their studies, particularly in the topics of early maths, algebra, precalculus, geometry, biology, and essay writing.
My approach is student-centered and engaging, with a focus on conceptual understanding and problem solving. I know that every student learns differently, and I love getting to know them so that I can provide them with a personalized approach and the best way to move forward in their studies.
