About David
I am currently an Oxford Biochemistry undergraduate with over 3 years experience tutoring Maths, Chemistry and Biology for both GCSE and A-level. I achieved a First Class Honours in first year exams and for A-levels I got A* Maths, A Further Maths, A* Chemistry and A* Biology.
During sessions, I provide a friendly, patient yet academically rigorous presence that ensures students will achieve their goals. My weekly schedule is flexible and I'm happy to accommodate your needs with scheduling and session timings.

First and foremost, my lessons are centred around helping your child achieve their goals in a positive, patient environment. This could be achieving the grades that they want, understanding an especially tricky part of the subject or fostering interest and curiosity.
Lessons are online and usually 1h long, although I am flexible with other timings. Before each lesson, I set out some learning objectives that I will use as a loose scaffold, but I also make sure to adapt to the needs and preferences of the student.
My teaching approach either consists of doing practice questions tailored to the markscheme of the exam board, or really prompting the student to think and understand the subject material conceptually. I explain things logically and give students the tools to methodically work through any problem they may face.
