About Loki
I studied Physics at university and covered courses such as special relativity, general relativity, quantum mechanics, nonlinear dynamics, etc. The more I learned, the more I discovered the intimate relationship between maths and physics, to the point where it is uncanny. It is marvellous how something as simple as group theory can underpin almost the entirety of physics.
My ADHD (which was diagnosed while I was at university) makes me think differently about things and come from angles that even I hadn't considered before. This allows me to adapt to the learning style of the person I am tutoring, and overcoming my ADHD in order to study means I have an understanding of the organisational issues that often hold people back from learning.

When I teach, I emphasise concepts and relationships between ideas; I believe a holistic approach to physics and maths is what brings deep understanding, rather than attempting to memorise seemingly disconnected facts and figures. Experiencing the tuition provided at Oxford confirmed this belief, and I emulate the tutors and lecturers I admire.

Lucy is an excellent tutor, very patient and highly intelligent. I’m from Russia and had a strong accent, so she helped me to improve my pronunciation. It was very difficult for me to remember how to pronounce some word correctly, and Lucy thought up brilliant mnemonic rules in order to make the learning process easier. I’m assured that with her inventive turn of mind, she can become an excellent tutor for everyone. Also, it’s so exciting to talk to a person who graduated from Oxford.
