About Bethan
I am an Oxford graduate with experience tutoring a range of students across all of the specifications. I like to draw on the tutorial teaching style that I benefited from at university, meaning that the lessons are discussion-based and guided by student interests (within the confines of the specification).
I genuinely enjoy the subject, and hope that my students will too! Sometimes English can feel scary, as if there is a grand meaning that you're always missing, but I like my students to come away from their tutoring feeling inspired and excited by the plethora of interpretations available to them, rather than frightened by it.

Lessons with me are designed to be practical, focused, and enjoyable. We will work methodically up to your exams, using the specification and your individual strengths and weaknesses to guide us.
Expect the lessons to be student-led, with lots of work on an interactive whiteboard. This will build your confidence and expand the ways in which you can express your ideas.
I have been tutoring for three years, and I hold an enhanced DBS.
