About Garrett
First, I am passionate about studying how our world works and finding ways to improve people's lives through taht knowledge. I have 2 years experience as an EMT-Paramedic with another 2 years specializing in disaster relief and international humanitarian aid. I have 6 years of total college and trade school experience towards medical and scientific studies including my current major in biomedical sciences at the University of Washington. I run a small business as an American Heart association CPR/First aid instructor for the businesses in the Pacific Northwest and am constantly looking for ways to improve my community's medical knowledge and preparedness.

As a long-standing student and instructor, I know the importance and techniques for using memory cues to make information truly stick. In my experience, medicine and science in general have two things in common. One must first master topic organization, then make the concept their own through the ability to explain the topic themselves. I am a firm believer in one's desire to learn and its power to propel towards success.
