About Anne

I have been a professional artist since 1987, and a college professor for over 20-years. I will teach those who truly want to improve their art, not just flatter you and take your money. I am kind and patient, but if you want to get into art school, win a scholarship, submit your illustrations for a children's book, or enter an art contest, I will give an honest, no-BS critique and provide objective, concrete skills to improve your art.

Instructing all skill levels, age 14 to adult — College portfolio preparation & art critiques online — In-person drawing classes in my studio or your home — Small group classes for home-school students — Learn to draw realistically from life, not from a photo or formula!
