About Marshall

I am a dedicated educator who enjoys helping young learners become more confident and capable in mathematics. I understand that math can feel frustrating or intimidating, especially when a student has missed an important foundational concept. My approach is patient, positive, and focused on meeting each learner where they are.

I create a welcoming environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and work through problems without feeling rushed or judged. I explain concepts in clear language, adapt my teaching to different learning styles, and celebrate progress along the way.

I bring professionalism, preparation, and encouragement to every session. Whether a student needs help with homework, foundational skills, or a challenging new topic, my goal is to make math more understandable while developing strong problem-solving habits and lasting confidence.

About the lesson

My math lessons are patient, interactive, and adapted to each student’s learning style and current skill level. I break problems into clear, manageable steps and use visual examples, real-life situations, and guided practice to make difficult concepts easier to understand.

A typical lesson begins with a short review and a discussion of the student’s current goals or assignments. We then work through examples together before the student practices independently with my support. I encourage students to explain their reasoning, ask questions, and learn from mistakes. Each lesson ends with a review of what we covered and clear next steps for continued improvement.

What sets me apart is my calm, encouraging approach. I focus on helping students understand how and why a solution works instead of simply memorizing an answer. My goal is to strengthen foundational skills, build confidence, and develop positive problem-solving habits.

Lessons are designed for elementary and middle-school students in grades K–8 who need help with arithmetic, fractions, decimals, introductory algebra, geometry, STEM concepts, homework, or general math confidence.
